Nice MOC, I really like the whole design of the building. It would have been nice to put more Tr.Neon Green glasses, but those aren't cheap too. The grey color fits well the building, even f a bit more black could have worked well.
One thing that would be nice to do with M:Tron would be to build some sort of space-warehouse in order to store all those crystals. I haven't tried myself at Space MOCs, I have a good amount of spare parts, espicially blue and Lt.Grey Classic Space ones. But Lego already made some bases and installations. Maybe a day, when I will build a good space background. But for a background, I would like to stick with Lego's ones, there is a specific ground color and grid background too depeding on the theme. | |

Cool base! Very functional; nice use of the arch bricks too, they remind me of the classic castle sets. I especially like those trans-neon-green elements. Those must be rare! Maybe you could still add a big M-logo and a few extra radars and/or antennas for the command and communication center? You have a lot of M-Tron astronauts, how many in total?

Hello Ben, thanks!
Trans neon are not that rare to be honest. I am constatly buying some small M-Tron sets from time to time when I get a chance. Beacon Tracer or Celestial Forager are not that hard to get. The same goes to Blacktron 2 or Space Police 2. I haven;t count the figs, but I think 30 or 40 of them can be easly found in my collection now. I like those sets, those are the last of the great Space era. The following sets of exploriens or futurons are too colorful and odd. Nothing to be attracted to. Those are so great sets. The color schema and design are so specific for fractions that you havent even have to know it is the station of M-Trons, you just knew it from the first look, isnt it? :) This is small station only. I have plans to make some bigger command center in which Magnetizer can fit. If I would only have 80 hours in one day... No worries, I will make it sooner or later! |
