Compliments on this design! Very streamlined, two decks and spacious, as a passenger yacht should be! The passengers are having a great time:) could well have been a classic set! what is her name?
Maybe you could add her name or some marine/maritime logo on the ship, a galley/wet bar and some buoys in the water? It reminds me a bit of one my favourite LEGO Mega Yachts on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7AI0KO0cMk

Thanks Ben! Hah, I haven't thought about that really. The name could be a nice idea. I shall think about it. I tried to fill as many seats as it is possible. That was the main goal.
That Yacht you gave a link to is like a modern Model Team construction. Nice work! Very detailed. Classic is all about simplicity, neatness and studdness more than extreme tiled detailing though :) The bar could be hard to fit in. I would need to make it longer and that looks a bit odd compared to width. I tried ;) Greetings!

That's a nice boat. I like its shape too. In which year would you date it? (by this, I mean when were all the parts availlable for Lego to "produce" it?)
I already tried building a car ferry in the style of the one released in 1968, but I did not liked what I've done. I should think about it again. The number of seats is very interesting. You should think about another bus for your next scenery. I will try to post one of mine this weekend (the two that were in WIP back in 2015 were finished this summer). Ben is right, you should add some stickers, a water level bar like in 4005 would be nice. I will be printing a sheet of stickers as I've filled the paper, I will post a picture of it this weekend too if I'm able to print it. |
