Introduction
This vehicle is based on the iconic Land Rover Serie 1 vehicle. I've built it in grey to have a differently colored vehicle. This is not a vehicle for heavy play, it's fragile, for example, all the rear part of the fehicle stands on two studs. I used different mudguards, because of I thought that it was looking nicer and it a small tribute to 1977's 699 Safari Photo set. It's possible to convert my Land Rover to 699's color scheme. There are a lot of possible color scheme for this vehicle, like police, fire or just colored. It has a lot of the original vehicle's features, like the iconic front, made with 80's bricks and techniques. Unfortunately, a minifig can't be placed entirely in the vehicle, I have to remove the legs and place a 1x2 plate in the vehicle to simule the legs, not a very Classic Town technique... But I've tryed several things without any succes, too fragile, too odd ... We can also see in the comparition photo how this vehicle looks like next to Lego's ones.

Version 2
Version two has te chassis modified, it was on some 2xX plates, now it is on a modified plate 2x8x1 1/3 that allows allow the driver o be completely in the car, with its legs.

The idea is nice and mudguards do not look bad. It presents nicely. Nevertheless think about making more room for the driver, so you could put him with legs. Try using 4732 part, it could do the trick :)

One thousand thanks! This part was, until I read your message, a pointless part! I have a bunch of them, and I will consider this piece when I will build these types of vehicles. And I can say that the chassis is sturdier and the minifig can enter without cutting it in half! :) Thanks again, Rogdush! It works very good, it's a bit lower now but it's the perfect piece, I will use it and save plates (and place)! I will post a picture of the modified version in the next days.
