Great set. Indeed.
It surely fit to 6392 airport. Notice, that this and LEGO-6391 are the only two sets with delivery center released back in the mid 80s. I was trying to get one in my presentation of water & air cargo in Bebricton, but finally - those were the only two sets I have found. Obviously, I do not have them because getting it is pretty hard. You've got lucky to have it :) Gz. Those unique slide doors are mostly present in sets released for US and couple in some trains. You miss an airport in your scenery, where 6392 set would fit pretty good :) Thats why I like Town sets. They all have some idea behind and they complements each other giving the possibility to create lots of different sceneries. Please add some photos in your review. You have described it nicely, but it would be even better with some images between :) You can add some photos from Catalogs section also. Let me know if you do not know how to do it. | |

I know how hard is it to find such sets, but this one is a real gem... I was very exited when I saw on the Internet that a man was selling it... And I had the chance that there was some riots the month before I bought it in the city the man was living, so people who contacted him were not confident. I've seen very few european boxes, and this is the only one I've seen with French markings.
You could have built a cargo center in another colour four your scenery, or you could have MOCed it? I've one in WIP, but I don't know if I will finish it. I will try to get an airport in a few years, I already have a very incomplete 1990 one. I didn't build it. The fact that everything can be combined is what I love in the Town system, it's a modular system, as tyhere is a standard size. Current City sets does not have this standard size anymore as baseplates disappeared. In fact, I forgot how to place pictures in the review... :) |
